FashionFever - Couture Circus

Challenge three for *FashionFever-Contest

The challenge was we were given a list of members of a circus and had to choose our three favorites. Then the admin gave us one of our choosing and we had to take that to turn into a female couture design.

My pick was the Ringleader so what I did was took the typical "ringleader" jacket and mixed it up a bit so that it would look good on a woman. It would be made of red satin so that it would shine under the spotlight. She also has satin gloves and shoes. The white part of her tops is sheer and bunches up around her neck. Her narrow skirt features ropes and buttons that sweep around her legs. The larger part of the skirt is gold and yellow silk and it sits on wire so that it is wide on her hips. It's supposed to give the effect of the big top tent so that it appears she has the entire circus under her skirt ;D

Then half way through the challenge, we were given a second step. We had to take one of the other choices we had to make a male couture outfit. For that, I got the Firebreather. His design was a little harder to figure out because it had to represent the circus member as well as coincide with the female design. So what I did was mimicked the sort of 'regal authority' that she gives off and translated it onto him as well. All of his clothes are fiery colors. The jacket would be made of burnt umber velvet while the collar is orange silk. The black panels that go from his wrist to elbow would be made of satin but that would have a slight amouth of cushion to them so that when the lines would be embroidered, it would be kind of puffy. He has an yellow eppaulette on one shoulder while the other is draped with a cape that fastens by belt around his torso. The cape is silk and sweeps around his feet, an abundance of orange chiffon ruffles sprouting around the bottom. The orange shirt underneath the jacket is cotton. I gave him a faux hawk with highlights to mimick fire XD

So that's it. I really like how the girl turned out. ^^
